Hi to all addicted readers of my blog.
Christmas, this year, was pretty much different.
Its the first time I have celebrated overseas in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.
In fact, I think this year's Christmas is pretty much special to me.
You know who you are uh! :P
Well, in Vietnam, I learn that they don't have a public holiday for Christmas.
It is kinda crap, i meant f:-)king crap. Their main holiday is Chinese Lunar Year.
Oh my god.
Yesterday, 24th December 2008, I had sort of "celebration".
I went to this Cham Charm to eat buffet.
Apparently, it cost USD$55.60++ per person. Don't worry, this is being paid by my boss's dad.
They have a wide varieties of food. They provide Japanese, Vietnamese and Western food.
The dinner was pretty okay as we have free flow of red/white wine and champagne. I didn't drank much of that though, perhaps, only 2 or 3 cups.
Afterwards, we went back home "quickly". The reason i quoted, quickly, was because that the trip last about almost an hour. Seriously, the traffic is HOLY DAMN. As we know that Vietnam won Thailand on aggregate 2 - 1 for the first leg in the Finals of Suzuki Cup, some crazy (or i should call it patriotic) fans who ride on motorbikes, carried Vietnam flags around. They wave from the left to the right. It seems like some kind of riot. Those people caused a major traffic jam. I was seriously pissed off. I hate those people who caused such unnecessary jams. That is why, my Swiss colleague said that there are so many reasons why you should leave Saigon. He hate the place that is overwhelmed with f:-)king motorbikes (i swear i teared when i'm on the road due to excess carbon monoxide), uncivilized people who doesn't obey the traffic, corruptions in officers and dusty streets where no one bothers to clean it. But the good factor about Saigon is the stuffs here are DIRT CHEAP!
In retrospect, I think such places can't stay for long. I guess my life has been cut down by 10 years when I stayed here for 4 months already. Its a living "hell".
Next, when I reached home, I went to bath quickly and went out with my colleagues. They brought us, on motorbikes, to go a church. The decorations are not that great but it was alright. After on, we went to have a beer and food session. Drank about 4 bottles of beer and all o us called it a day and went back home. On the way back, my colleague let me ride the motorbike. Haha! This time, i think i'm kinda good at it already! : )
25 December 08, go to office at 10am. Watch paranormal state on youtube all day till knock off. I went home by motor taxi. Then, i went to bobby brewers, a Starbucks "look alike" cafe, to have my dinner and mint choc blitz alone. Around 10pm, I went home.
So you see, my Christmas ain't that nice after all in Saigon. But that someone reading it made it special to me! : P
All would have guess how would my new Joint Jam #5 fare, I would tell you that it will definitely be a blast and whole new change in it. ; )

An eventful night
Yesterday was pretty good. Everything went smoothly as i thought it would be. I went alone to Allez Boo for some food and drinks. I met up a guy from Australia. His kinda cool. We chatted from 7.30pm till 2am.
When we went upstairs for some music, we met another 2 guys from Israel. Its good to hear from all these people. I gain a few experience from them. The 2 guys from Israel were in the army last time. They went for war 2 years ago and one of them, Elad, told me that he does understands more about man. He said about the appreciating of life, which i definitely agree on it.
I got my Joint Jam #4 played in Allez Boo after i asked the manager and dj about it. After their discussion about it, they agreed to play that song from my mobile phone thru their computer. Well, at that moment, i felt . The reason is because they play it in the public and its a so-called "club" (i do think its like a pub, oh well.). The dj stops the track at The Anthem because i think that maybe the crowds are not dancing to it.
I reflected on my mix. I think that my track was played at a wrong time. He played promiscuous girl before that which i guess its a "high" song (i meant about the feel). For my mix, i adapted a concept of "low to high" feel. Well, i think i will work on that again. :) I promise to make better jams for new releases. I failed on crowd factor, not transitions of songs. The guy from Aussie, Bart, told me quite a lot of stuffs and i learnt something new as well. For one sentence he said, my transitions are smooth and good, but we must listen to the crowd's "needs and wants". I'm glad that i met him man.
I think that we should never ever give up easily. In life, there are failures and success. We just have to work our failures more to make it successful, thats all. :D

Getting bored by the life and work here. Everything seems to be mundane chores for me. Waking up at 7am, go to bath and work. After work, I come back home for dinner and stayed up in the room till the next day i go to work again. This has been on-going for 3 consecutive months already. I would rack my brains, hard, everyday to think of what to do or spend time at.

The m0+h312=uCK1n4 lecturer dont reply my emails. I only asked for a freaking 2 weeks in advance to return to Singapore and is this a very very very demanding request? What the fuck?!? i stayed here for like 4 months and a half by then already! Those lecturers must definitely come here to stay for 5months and see how it feels like. I think it feels like a jail.

Its been a long time since i last updated! well, i should update now.
Last Monday, i just went to work and go home rest, eat dinner, sleep. boring.
Okay next would be
LAST TUESDAY! BLACKOUT WHEN I REACH THE OFFICE! NO NEED TO WORK! WOOOOOOOOOO! ENJOY! Went to my colleague's hostel to have lunch and 'YO!' (Yo in vietnamese means CHEERS!) with beer once again. Drink, drank, drunk at hostel, went to KARAOKE . WTF! The songs they sing, all i dont understand. narbei. Then we drink, drank, drunk beer once again in the karaoke place. Now, im damn already. Fucking hell, while I was sitting on the motorbike when my colleague ride me back home, i fell asleep on the bike. When i reach home, i just sleep on my bed. When i woke up, a sudden surge of headache strike up my fucking head. I cursed and swear like a mad dog. Cye bye! Okay end of story.

Last Wednesday, i went to work. Another colleague's birthday. Cye bye. This time we go another place to drink after work. WTF! Its time for drink, drank, drunk again. The place caters steamboat-like food. O M F G ! After dinner and stuffs, i went to meet Yuren (the retard), CL, Eliz and GW. Its at a place called Alzeer Boo. Cye bye, drink again. Woooo! This time i cannot take it already. So i just drink finish and sleep on the table! Woke up 5am in the morning and went back home sleep.

Last Friday to Sunday. I went to Vung Tau. Pretty beach and sceneries over there. And of course, i ciao work on Friday. HAHAHA! Cye bye, damn shiok. lol. Go eat sotong at night, drink beer again on friday night as well as saturday night. I think the beer belly is forming up its six packs. lol.

Monday
I didnt went to work, apparently, i had a cold fever. Its hell of a torturous night for me on Sunday when i slept at home. So i decided to inform my mates that im sick! W-O-N-D-E-R-F-U-L! haha. I slacked and slept almost everytime. Skipped breakfast and lunch, just sleep only. :D
Tuesday
Woke up and went to bath. Afterwards, meet my mates down the hallway. We went up the car and sit. I adjusted my butt accordingly to the chair to ease myself. I was thinking i should get my MP3 to hear some songs while the driver drive us to our work place. Five minutes later, my manager received a call, she told us there is a BLACKOUT in the office and we DONT need to go to WORK! WAHAHAHA! Cye bye! You see lah, can go home sleep again. Shiok! MAN, I LOVE BLACKOUT! XOXO! LoooooL!
Around 11am, we went to have our breakfast. Some boring food again. No choice. Zzz. Then we went to a cafe to drink coffee there. It was quite relaxing though it only met my basic requirements for a cafe. At night, i had stomachache. Worst ever! Must be that breakfast, karnina!
Today
I cursed and swear, my stomachache came to light at 6am. Cye bye. And its worse that yesterday. As the aroma of shit spins around me when im bombarding, theres a sudden blackout! (sorry for being so disgusting but i have no other words to describe about this 'eventful' blackout.) Cye bye, I dont like. Because i only want the office to blackout, not my 'house'! Karnina, when i bath, the heater isnt starting because there is no electricity to warm up the water. Narbei, i have to bath in fucking cold water. I think my brother can be frozen icicles already. LoL! Okay lah, its abit exaggerating. But its really cold okay! Now im fucking stuck in this office computer again.
Yesterday, i realise i didnt go work for like five days. OMFG. You know what i meant. Haha! Im now left with fucking 59days. Await my arrival guys! hahaha!

I didnt went to work, apparently, i had a cold fever. Its hell of a torturous night for me on Sunday when i slept at home. So i decided to inform my mates that im sick! W-O-N-D-E-R-F-U-L! haha. I slacked and slept almost everytime. Skipped breakfast and lunch, just sleep only. :D
Tuesday
Woke up and went to bath. Afterwards, meet my mates down the hallway. We went up the car and sit. I adjusted my butt accordingly to the chair to ease myself. Five minutes later, my manager received a call, she told us there is a BLACKOUT in the office and we DONT need to go to WORK! WAHAHAHA! Cye bye! You see lah, can go home sleep again. Shiok! MAN, I LOVE BLACKOUT! XOXO! LoooooL!
Around 11am, we went to have our breakfast. Some boring food again. No choice. Zzz. Then we went to a cafe to drink coffee there. It was quite relaxing though it only met my basic requirements for a cafe. At night, i had stomachache. Worst ever! Must be that breakfast, karnina!
Today
I cursed and swear, my stomachache came to light at 6am. Cye bye. And its worse that yesterday. As the aroma of shit spins around me when im bombarding, theres a sudden blackout! (sorry for being so disgusting but i have no other words to describe about this 'eventful' blackout.) Cye bye, I dont like. Because i only want the office to blackout, not my 'house'! Karnina, when i bath, the heater isnt starting because there is no electricity to warm up the water. Narbei, i have to bath in fucking cold water. I think my brother can be frozen icicles already. LoL! Okay lah, its abit exaggerating. But its really cold okay! Now im fucking stuck in this office computer again.

Mundane working days are still ongoing for me.

Reflection
HAPPY 19th BIRTHDAY TO HUIMUN!
Anyway, I am feeling so damn bored now.
This week was pretty okay.
I didnt went to work today because I had stomachache.
Today, I woke up at 1.30pm.
I went for a smoke just now.
I have stayed here for 54 days.
It seems kinda long but I know I will be back in no time.
Well, life isnt that great here.
I would definitely wish to head back Singapore even for a day.
Sad to say that I dont think i am able to.
Its 5 more days to my birthday. What would it be like?
I wonder....

Since 1 September
Life is mundane for me. It isn't about the work, it is about the lifestyle here.
I miss home.
I miss my families.
I miss my friends.
I miss my life that i have back in Singapore.
We know, at times, we couldn't prevent or predict whats coming next.
I know my life spent here is awfully slow. I have my weekdays spent in the office, "home" and thats it. My weekends would be spent with Yuren and gang. I, now, only revolve with certain things. Eat, poo, sleep, shop and the minimal fun i would get.
This isn't about me complaining all those stuffs I had here. I just have too little of it. I know i cant expect much, but i beg to differ. I am being constraint in this very room. Feeling lonely, bored and suffocating. Not from smoke, but fun. I want to go simpang to have some teh tarik, roti pratas and mutabak. I cant have that here. I want to chill out at Zouk, Powerhouse, Demsey and pubs. I cant have that here. I have certain restrictions. Neither could I stay out late nor meeting my friends who are back in Singapore.
5 days of work, 2 days of meet-ups. I have to face this all the way.
Fuck those traffics here, seriously i do. Motorist have the least decency to make a stop or care about the pedestrian. They just go their way and zoom pass 10centimetres in front or behind you. Crossing the roads here are like crossing highways back in Singapore.
My birthday is coming, a 20th one. I cant invite or celebrate with my family and friends. I just celebrate it here.
Christmas is coming, I cant go Holland V to chill when i did last year with Jingjing, Yee Kiat, Seicheong and all.
I miss slacking with my bros, Adrian , Derek and Hui Xiang at starDIU!
i miss everything so much.
I miss the most important months of this year. I missed alot.
I have to this very 15-inch laptop. I have to face communication breakdowns with the locals here.
If there is just a weekend i could head back, i would definitely do it. But this is impossible. TP has no brains and signed a single entry visa for me. I cant go anywhere, i go nowhere but now here in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.

Day 28
Hi all! i've decided to update my blog after a few complaints. Well basically, this weekend is a fruitful one for me.
Saturday
I went to meet the yuren, chuan liang, elizabeth and guiwen (TP4). We went to Parkson shopping centre to play some games. I played a "monster" catching machine and caught myself one dog which it can hold my handphone with just 3 tries!! Each try is S$0.15. BUT wtf, i tot i was lucky and i decided to play more. In the end i spent another S$8 to play and nothing was caught. -_-
Well, afterwards we went to Pho 2000 to eat. I ate beef noodles ONCE AGAIN. Then, we went to our usual IT Club to visit the casino. Liang went to play jackpot first while the rest of us, including me, order 3 cup of orange juice and a cup of lime juice. Everytime we visit there, the drinks are free. BUT wtf, they change the rules and it wasnt free anymore. And WTF, the stupid retarded waiter went to order without our consent and freaking show us the menu of the prices of it after that. The waiter tell us that we can get 2 free drinks if we play the jackpot machines. I come up with a plan, whereby i play USD$20 on a machine, press the bet button once and cash out. Haha! The reason was that the orange and lime juice each cost about S$7. When i play, i would only use S$0.45. :P
BUT, i dont know why my fingers became so itchy till i keep pressing bet and bet. Kinda addicted to it. My USD$20 dropped to USD$9. Suddenly, i got a bonus 7 spin, the amount jumped back to USD$21. I was so happy and my itchy hands go press until it drop to a mere USD$6. -.- Oh well, bonus comes back again and this time, it jump back to USD$23! This time, however, when i played till USD$15, the bonus came in and i won up to a total of USD$110. I was so damn happy, as a matter of fact, i've lost USD$50 for the past weeks when i visited it weekly. Haha! But you guys know my itchy fingers, i cashed out at USD$99. Haha. I guess its pure luck for me that day. :)
Soon after the tan yu ren ask me cash out, we went to meet my colleagues for a drinking session while the rest of his mates went home. We shared the same cab with them and went to 2 destinations because its on the way. Yuren and I alighted at the wrong place, and ended up taking a motor ride from a stranger to the destination to meet my colleagues. The motherfucker cheebye bastard charged me 20k dong for a ride less than 1min. We wanted to take a cab there at first but the retard driver dont know the place. It was so near and he doesnt know it. So a motorbike uncle ask us where we wanna go and he took us there. F him. If it was a cab its 14k. Anyway, we met up with my colleagues and we drank there. My colleagues sent us home by motor as it was quite late. Yuren stayed over at my room as his boss closed his gates at 10pm. After doing push ups in my room, i went to sleep. *END*

We woke up and went to meet his mates again for slacking sessions. We went to watch Babylon A.D at Diamond Plaza. The movie was good but the ending was crap like hell. After movie, we went to Trung Nguyen Cafe to drink coffee. We slack for almost an hour and i brought them to buy pirated PC games. We bought quite a few for entertainment purposes. Haha. Then, we walked to Ben Thanh market to shop. They bought quite a few design of t-shirts called "Same Same..... But different". Pretty catchy tagline though. Haha. When we notice that time is running out since its 9pm plus, we went to eat at a nearby hawker. The food was average and i cabbed home after that. When the taxi is nearing my destination, i guess that an accident has happened. 2 motorbikes crash. One was in a terrible state while the other one is still alright. But im not sure whether its 2 motorbike crashing into each other or the motorbike, which is in a terrible state, got knocked down by a car. *END*
So this was my weekend. I enjoyed it alot, but i still miss my days back home! I dreamt of home yesterday night. :( Anyway, i got to go sleep already. Its getting late. Bye all, good night and take care. :)

Music; My Life
All people have a passion. Unlike others, I have a passion for deejay-ing. When I was 14-years-old, I used to hear those "popular" genres like Techno. Remarkably, this inspire and spurs me on into mixing music. In 2006, I decided to make it out and joined music forums. I will post up the mixes and let the audience comment. I accept any either the worse, bad, good or average comments. I know this is the only way i could improve. I started out using Acoustica Mixcraft 2.5.1. I try all means to learn by myself.
Let me introduce some basics into deejay-ing.
1. Beatmatch - This means the combination of 2 different beats sync-ing together beautifully.
2. Vocalmatch - This means the vocals you've insert, syncs with the beat in the background.
3. Effects - Some common effects are flanger, wah-wah, phaser & a lot more are what we normally use in Sony Sound Forge 8.0/9.0 Program.
4. Timestretch - This is to extend the sound clip. For example you say "Haha" for 1 second, I can extend your "Haha" to the time I prefer for let say 10 seconds. Haha, it definitely sounds funny.
5. Pitching - This is to change the tone of the voice. You can make it to either a female or male voice.
6. Turntable - This is a very obvious machine. Please refer to Wikipedia.com for more information. :p
Eventually, I learnt Step 1 - 5 all by myself. It sounds easy but I think its a great achievement I have made since April 2007. I have changed my form of mixing technoes to r&b genres.
Making out in r&b genre isn't that easy. It has loads of beats to synchronize with. After several times of practising and advises given by friends, i managed to pull it through for now though. Haha. Well, from Joint Jam 1 to 2, I've learnt alot on transition of songs. For Joint Jam 3, you've guys gotta wait. :P
I feel that music can express our feelings, such as anger, happiness, sadness and blah blah blah. Music is important because it helps us to appreciate something more than what we see.
In retrospect, my quote for music is "We dont control our emotions, music does it all."

I went to work as usual. I was dozing off all the way from 9am to 5pm, in fact, from the start and till the end of work. Haha. Well i played some games with my friends as usual. I have started doing some work finally. Not because im lazy but my team leader issued us work! :)

Its 11.05pm now. Today was quite eventful for me. I woke up at 12pm and i went to play soccer with my colleagues at a football club. I am amazed when they had 3 small soccer fields in the football club. I pillion one of my colleagues, Khoi, motorbike when i am going to the football club, as well as coming back home. I spent 60,000 D on a shoe (which is uncomfortable and crappy for me, but i had no choice.) to play soccer with them. Surprisingly, they also queue up to challenge with the next team. Afterwards we went to drink sugar cane and ate lime when we rest at a small store outside. When i reach home, i realise i had chipped my toe nails. When i trimmed my toe nails, blood splashed out like nigara falls (abit over-exaggerate though). Then, i went to bath and met up soon with yuren and gang at ben thanh market. We ate at Pho 2000, apparently, a restaurant-like store (but it isn't a restaurant!). I ordered beef noodles, as usual, for my breakfast-cum-lunch. Afterwards, the gang and i went to shop around. Soon, they decided to come over to my place for dinner and play poker afterwards in my room. We went to my house's nearby Pizza Inn for dinner. We had a Hawaii Pizza, garlic bread and my miranda orange. At about 8pm, all of us left Pizza Inn and headed back to my room to play poker. At 9.30pm, they went off and i am using my computer till now. Today was fun riding motorbikes, although the max speed i had was 40km/h because of the 4 million motorbikes in Ho Chi Minh. I am going off now. Good night. :)

10th Day
I woke up with a bad hangover, went to bath and work at 6.30am. When i reach the work place at 8am, i went to do my proposal for the medical centre that my company is going to work on. I at 11am, my manager brought us out to meet the client. I had a chicken curry noodle for my lunch at a grand cafe. I enjoyed the great atmosphere there. At 3pm, after we finish meeting with the client, we cab back home. And of course, our manager paid for the cab fare. I reached home at 4pm and chatted with my mates on msn. At about 6.30pm, i went down to have my dinner. It was beef curry, once again. Its making me sick now. I went back up around 8pm and played games with my friends. Now its 12.36am, Im tired and freaking bored. In retrospect, I think I need a life over here. Good night all.

Anyway, i had company's dinner just now. drank about 15 glasses of beer at dinner. im kinda high but i know i gotta stay awake for tomorrow's work. anyway, stay chill and all the best in the things you guys do. Especially seicheong and yeekiat who are chiong-ing major project this coming week. :)

Day 8
A day at work once again. I woke up late as i snooze my alarm like nobody's business, but it would be the last time i guess? lol. damn the workplace. mundane life cycle is what im facing now. Anyone could jolly well entertain me would be good! 8th day at Ho Chi Minh. I guess i learnt quite a few stuffs. Some mother fucker has given me a fucking 100k dong which i couldnt use even though i try to smoke my way through by paying the cab driver yesterday. The motorbikes here, i guess, are contributing to the air pollution. No wonder there is global warming. I shall not talk about my work. It is kind of boring. By the way, f the traffic here. My usual car ride home from work is 40mins, today took 1 hour 20mins to reach home. Ass. Reach home, had some dinner where my CEO always does the treating. I had some sort of chicken fried rice and a bowl of duck noodles. Im seriously that hungry. I had no breakfast in the morning today although im glad to say that tomorrow, electricity is down in office! S-H-I-A-T, but i have a day off tomorrow and come back on Saturday to work till 5pm. F-S-H-I-A-T! God dammit. Im mixing some songs right now. No idea what to do currently. My mind is full of carbon monoxide stored by the motorbikes on the roads. I shall blog tomorrow. Rest!
